Personal Testimony

Marcel Schwantes is no stranger to falling and getting back up numerous times in the rollercoaster of life. Looking to climb the illusive corporate ladder during the brash, self-absorbed years of his young adulthood, he bounced around between aimless jobs, feeling empty and lost while searching for his true identity and purpose. Navigating life with no Moral Positioning System (MPS), one bad decision after another was dictated by a gargantuan, image-fed ego, manipulation of others, and a selfish willpower that steamrolled ahead to get what he wanted, when he wanted it. As he continued wading in his self-indulgence, the question What do I truly want out of life? was one that surfaced often when he looked in the mirror. After years of wandering around with no MPS, he finally hit rock bottom from a painful and traumatic life event that left him having to "reinvent" himself personally, spiritually, and professionally. Marcel would later discover in introspection,  that his true dysfunction was.....an addiction to self.

It wasn't until he surrendered the steering wheel of life to the Heavenly Driver that he experienced a deep spiritual transformation--what he coins as his own personal "Damascus Road" experience (Galatians 1:11-16), and life has never been the same. Since his recovery and renewal, he has dedicated himself to daily personal and spiritual development and helping men to experience life changing growth and self-discovery--to find their own Moral Positioning System.

Marcel attributes the positive feedback and testimonies he gets from his coaching clients as having himself experienced failure, sin, lust and rebellion to finding forgiveness, healing, redemption and grace. His spiritual paradigm shift has led to a victorious and abundant joy-filled life. He is now happily married and living in Chattanooga, TN where he and his wife--a licensed mental health counselor, are active in church life and ministry.

Marcel Schwantes is a Certified Professional Life Coach, Certified Corporate Trainer of the PeopleMap System, speaker, workshop facilitator, and writer. He comes with over fifteen years experience coaching and training individuals, groups and organizations looking for an edge in leadership, performance, communication, personal development and professional effectiveness. He has held leadership positions in human resources management and organizational development at large health care institutions and has consulted in the staffing industry for both Fortune 500 corporations and small to medium non-profits.

As a professional coach and trainer, Marcel guides his clients toward fulfilling their goals, defining their strengths and learning new strengths to create peak performance in their personal and professional lives.

Marcel also collaborates with Christian and faith-based organizations to deliver workshops, training and coaching services for church conventions, conferences and camp-meetings.

Education and Training

Marcel has advanced training and coaching experience in leadership and organizational development, career management, teambuilding and relationships. He is a graduate of the Institute for Life Coach Training--a world-renowned, accredited training program by the International Coach Federation. He is a Certified PeopleMap Trainer, and has a Masters Degree in Organizational Psychology and a Bachelors Degree in Communications.
